There is a difference between personalization and customization .Personalization is when the system you are using tailors itself to you and your behavior. A good example of this is Amazon "noticing" what you are buying and changing their front page to feature similar items. Customization is when the user explicitly changes things - font size, colors, layout, etc. I think the likely trend to come will be the customization of education as well as a change in the role of teachers to guides and coaches. With advances in technology, the traditional classroom has many drawbacks. Though working in groups has many positives.
